With the second wave of the COVID-19 virus wreaking havoc in India, lakhs of people are infecting every day and numerous have also lost their lives. However, one person who brought relief to many homes is Bollywood actor Sonu Sood. While the actor is known for his villainous roles in the film industry, he has indeed been a hero in this time of the pandemic. From helping people to reach their homes to providing medicines and food, Sood has been a life savior to many.

Recently, the Simmba star came to Harbhajan Singh’s rescue after the veteran Indian spinner requested an urgent need of Remdesivir injection. “1 remdesiver injection required (urgent) Hospital- Basappa hospital near Aishwarya fort , chitradurga , Karnatka,” wrote the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) bowler in a tweet.

As soon as Sood came across Harbhajan’s tweet, he rushed to help the spinner and arranged the necessary injection. “Bhaji…Wil be delivered,” the Dabangg actor wrote while reacting to Harbhajan’s post.

The four-time Indian Premier League (IPL) champion was overwhelmed by Sood’s gesture as he heaped praises on the actor. “Thank you my brother..may god bless you with more strength,” Harbhajan tweeted.

Sonu Sood recently helped Suresh Raina as well

Almost a week ago, Sood also helped Harbhajan’s former teammate Suresh Raina in this challenging time. The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) dasher requested an Oxygen cylinder for one of his relatives and the Entertainment actor came to Raina’s rescue in no time.

Notably, Raina and Harbhajan were recently seen in the IPL 2021, which got postponed midway after multiple coronavirus cases inside the bio-bubble. While Harbhajan went wicketless in the three games he played for KKR, Raina was in decent touch for CSK. He scored 123 runs in seven games which also includes a match-winning half-century.

While any official date regarding the resumption of IPL 2021 is yet to come, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is planning to conduct the remaining season in September, just before the ICC T20 World Cup, which is also slated to take place in India. However, the third wave of COVID-19 is expected to reach India later this year, and in that case, both IPL and the T20 World can be shifted abroad.
