There will be clash of ideas between Kohli and Kumble: Harsha Bhogle
Indian cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle said that there will be some clash of ideas between the Indian Test skipper Virat Kohli and the newly appointed head coach Anil Kumble.
Bhogle in his column for the Indian Express wrote, “It is inevitable too, that at some point there will be a clash of ideas between Kohli and Kumble. Sport is like that because there is never one way to play it and strong willed individuals will believe in their path,”
In the pre-tour press conferences, Kumble spoke about John Wright and Gary Kirsten, who worked in the background and brought success and also said that he is not against Virat’s aggressive attitude, though a line needs to be drawn.
Harsha added, “It is clear that those with a strong character like Kohli, will get along well with Kumble, who will also work harder for the players in return. Kohli will benefit from it because he has already talked of not wasting energy on unnecessary actions and of staying more focused.”

He also wrote about the incident where Kumble bowled with the broken jaw, “when asked why he bowled in such a situation he said he rarely had the luxury of bowling overseas with a big score behind him and thought the team might have a chance if he picked up a couple of wickets. Remember, you never concede.”
With Virat to lead the team on the field and Kumble at the back to support, Indian cricket is in the right hands to take the sport forward.
