'Will get on a bike after retirement' - Virat Kohli after Kevin Pietersen tries to troll him on his workout video
The Indian skipper is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that he remains fit physically and mentally during the pandemic.
Team India skipper Virat Kohli is one of the fittest athletes in the world. He has changed the shape of the Indian team in terms of the physical fitness of the players. The prolific batsman is a role model for many youngsters across the globe.
India is under lockdown from the past few months owing to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. As a result, all players including Kohli are currently stuck inside his house. However, the Indian skipper is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that he remains fit physically and mentally during the pandemic.
The right-hander keeps posting his workout videos on his Instagram handle. Recently, the Delhi stalwart shared one exercise we would pick if we had to do the same workout everyday.
Along with sharing the video, Kohli wrote, “If I had to make a choice of one exercise to do everyday, this would be it. Love the power snatch,”
Kevin Pietersen suggests Virat Kohli to ride a bike
The Indian captain indulged in a friendly jibe with former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen over his recent post on Instagram. Kevin tried to troll Kohli over his caption saying that he can ride a bike instead of doing the same workout exercise daily. Pietersen commented, “Get on a bike”
However, Pietersen didn’t succeed in his plans as Kohli gave him a befitting reply for his comment. Kohli is known to be someone who has a great sense of humour. This can be concluded as he often posts witty comments on his teammates’ posts. Ensuring that he has the last laugh on his banter with KP, Kohli said that he would think of Kevin’s suggestion of riding a bike after retirement.
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Kohli is making full use of the lockdown by training hard in his home gym. His Instagram is full of his workout videos. A few days back he had posted a clip of him performing Hardik Pandya’s flying push-up challenge.
Meanwhile, many Indian stars could resume training in the coming weeks as the BCCI is planning to host the Indian Premier League in the September-October window. Also, there are high chances that the tournament will be shifted from India to UAE or Sri Lanka.
