Windies vs Bangladesh, 3rd T20I, Match Prediction – Who will win the match, Windies or Bangladesh?
A total of seven matches have been played in Lauderhill, out of which five have been won by the team batting first.
Following a thumping victory in St Kitts, the Windies couldn’t carry forward their form against Bangladesh in Lauderhill and lost by a margin of 12 runs. Carlos Brathwaite’s men were well and truly in the race during their run chase, but some accurate bowling restricted them from winning the match. Most of their batsmen chipped in with cameos, however, none of them could substantiate their knocks.
Shakib Al Hasan and Co would be happy for the reason that they stormed back after not such an impressive show in the first match. The decider will be played at the same venue and the visiting team will be looking to win their second overseas T20I series. Their last and only foreign victory in the format came way back in 2012 when the team, captained by Mushfiqur Rahim, humbled Ireland in Belfast.
Pitch
A total of seven matches have been played in Lauderhill, out of which five have been won by the team batting first on what has historically been a decent batting strip. Hence, it goes without saying that the team winning the toss would opt to bat first and put a massive score on the board to exert pressure on the chasing team. The Windies are the defending champions in the format and will be keen to make amends after their ODI series debacle.
Team Combination
Windies
The hosts are unlikely to make any alterations to the team. Andre Fletcher and Evin Lewis are the opening batters. Andre Russell’s promotion higher up the order has worked to some extent and he will be persisted with at number three. The likes of Rovman Powell and Carlos Brathwaite will add to the firepower lower down the order. They are also likely to stick to the spin duo of Nurse and Badree.
Predicted XI
Andre Fletcher, Evin Lewis, Andre Russell, Marlon Samuels, Denesh Ramdin (wk), Rovman Powell, Carlos Brathwaite (C), Ashley Nurse, Keemo Paul, Kesrick Williams, Samuel Badree
Bangladesh
Bangladesh will also be unchanged. Liton Das and Tamim Iqbal remain as their openers. Shakib Al Hasan will undergo a finger injury but is likely to feature in the final encounter. The batters took a liking to Mustafizur Rahman, however, the left-arm seamer nipped out three crucial wickets in the middle order. The experienced campaigners in Mushfiqur Rahim, Rubel Hossain, and Mahmudullah also need to step up.
Predicted XI
Liton Das, Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim (wk), Soumya Sarkar, Shakib Al Hasan (C), Mahmudullah, Ariful Haque, Nazmul Hossain, Abu Hider Rony, Rubel Hossain, Mustafizur Rahman
Probable to performers
Evin Lewis- Windies, Tamim Iqbal- Bangladesh
The prediction is for the team winning the toss to come out trumps and clinch the series 2-1.
