Windies continued their domination over the visiting England team to clinch the 3-match Test series at home with one match still to be played. The English batsmen failed to cope up with the Caribbean pacers and were bowled out for 187. Contributions from all the batsmen helped Windies to take a 119-run first innings lead by posting 306. Kemar Roach and Jason Holder picked up four wickets apiece to rattle the visitors to just 132 in the 2nd essay. Windies chased down the target of 14 runs in 2.1 overs to win by 10 wickets.

215 – The 215-ball fifty by Darren Bravo is the 3rd slowest known fifty in Test cricket for Windies. Kenneth Wishart took 232 balls for his fifty in the 1935 Georgetown Test while Steve Camacho required 219 balls during the 1968 Barbados Tests; both against England.

340 – Bravo spent 340 minutes at the crease for his fifty; the 3rd slowest ODI fifty in terms of minutes. Trevor Bailey took 357 minutes for his fifty in the 1958 Brisbane Test against Australia while Chris Tavare needed 350 minutes for the fifty during 1982 Lord’s Test against Pakistan.

50 – Darren Bravo is the first player to score fifty with a strike-rate under 25 before getting dismissed via stumped in Test cricket. He scored 50 off 216 balls at a S/R of 23.14 before getting dismissed.

John Wright’s 222-ball 42 was the previous highest which he scored at 18.91 in the 1992 Moratuwa Test against Sri Lanka.

Dealing in sixes:

7 – Shimron Hetmyer hit at least one six in each of his last seven Test innings; the joint-longest streak for any player. Imran Khan in 1989 and Chris Cairns in 1999/00 also hit at least one six in seven consecutive Test innings.

Finishing off in style:

1997 – The last instance when a Windies player finishing off a successful chase with a six in Test cricket before John Campbell in this Test was Carl Hooper way back in 1997. In the 1997 St John’s Test, Hooper struck a six on the 4th ball he faced after three dot balls to finish off the game.

Nearly the worst for England:

103.1 – Number of overs England batted in this Test; the 2nd fewest by them to lose all 20 wickets in a Test match in West Indies. England’s two innings lasted only 88.2 overs during the 1986 Kingston Test.

A rare instance:

3 – Windies’ first innings is only the 3rd instance in Test cricket when all the top three batsmen crossed 40 and yet failing to score a fifty. India against England in the 1964 Delhi Test and Zimbabwe against Sri Lanka in the 1994 Harare Test had scores between 40 and 49. Windies innings is the first with top three making scores between 44 and 49.
