The marriage and the subsequent receptions of Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma were the most talked about events during 2017. The adorable couple got married at a scenic venue Borgo Finocchieto in Tuscany, Italy in the presence of very few close friends and family. They also hosted a couple of receptions in Delhi and Mumbai recently. However, Bollywood actress Anushka has faced severe criticism on Twitter for applying Sindoor and called it a ‘Display of Patriarchy’.
Both Virat and Anushka looked like a dream couple during each of their ceremonies and the fans kept on gushing over their viral pictures throughout the last couple of weeks. Though there was an undue criticism of the couple for getting married in Italy as few lashed out at them and even called ‘anti-nationalists’. Now the sindoor of Anushka Sharma has come under the scanner as the social media is engaged in the war of words unnecessarily.

The newlywed couple looked absolutely stunning together as the bride wore a red saree and applied a Sindoor following a Bengal tradition according to a Twitter user.
