The short-statured cricketer from Maharashtra is going to be a key member of the Indian team in this World Cup. Kedar Jadhav is a multi-dimensional player and off late he has made telling contributions whenever chances came his way. He has represented the Men in Blue 59 times accumulating 1174 runs at an average of 43. Nearly 800 of his runs have come down the order where he has played the role of a finisher, and he averages 56 at No.6 position which is remarkable.

Jadhav made his first appearance in 2014 but at that time he needed to fit into the playing XI purely on his batting skills which already contained stalwarts. After the 2015 World Cup, India struggled to find the services of a spin all-rounder, as Suresh Raina and Yuvraj Singh were not consistent with their trade.

During this phase, Kedar threw his hat into the ring, and now he is an important pivot in the Virat Kohli-led side for the 2019 gala event. He is truly a team player but at 34 he may not make the cut after a span of 4 years, as a lot of budding superstars are waiting in the wings.
