Ever since Pakistan have lost to the arch-rivals India in the ongoing World Cup, the team has been at the receiving end of some severe criticism. Several videos have been going viral on social media as well with the fans hurling abuse at the players and also pointing out the lack of intensity on the field in such a huge game. While the Men in Green didn’t put their best foot forward against India, the 11 men on the field tried their level best to trump their opponents and deserve to be respected for their efforts.

The team going for an outing ahead of the match and eating burgers and ice-cream has come under a severe scanner which is incorrect on the fans’ part. While it is no wrong in expecting from the team and criticising them, one should stay in the limit and not hurl abuses at the players. The left-arm pacer Mohammad Amir also stood by the same point in his tweet late on Monday.

He requested the fan to not abuse at the cricketers who give their everything on the field for their country. However, he was also of the opinion that the supporters have all the right to criticise their performances. Amir was also confident of making a comeback in the World Cup and urged the fans to keep supporting them.

We need your support

“Pls don’t use bad words for the players, yes you guys can criticise our performance we will bounce back InshAllah we need your support,” Amir’s tweet read. Despite the fact that the Pakistan team is not doing well, Mohammad Amir is shining superbly with the ball. He is the joint-leading wicket-taker of the tournament picking 13 scalps in just four outings.

After registering his maiden five-wicket haul, Amir continued his good work returning with the figures of 3/47. He was the most economical bowler for his team. The fast bowler also looked irked at his teammates after the match according to reports. Pakistan, at the moment, are at the ninth position in the table and will need a tremendous effort to turn the tables around.
