Pakistan fans expected a lot from their team in the ongoing World Cup. After the way they defeated England, there was a hope that the Men in Green will make the nation proud by qualifying for the semi-finals at least. Moreover, there were expectations from them to beat the arch-rivals India for the first time in the World Cups. But as it turned out, Virat Kohli and his men were clinical on the day and won the match by 89 runs in Manchester.

Sarfaraz Ahmed, being the captain, came under the severe scanner. His decision to bowl first after winning the toss was criticised the most and was also spotted yawning on the field while leading his team which led to many trolls and memes on social media. Even various videos surfaced in which the Pakistan fans slammed the team for its performance.

However, another video is now going viral in which the Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed is being body-shamed after the match against India.

Fans call Sarfaraz ‘Mota’ (Fat)

After the match, probably before the presentation ceremony, Sarfaraz Ahmed was talking with someone near the boundary line. This is when some of the Pakistan supporters who were visibly frustrated took a dig at their leader questioning his fitness. They also questioned his decision to bowl first after winning the toss and mocked saying that he didn’t even listen to the Prime Minister Imran Khan‘s advice.

In the process, the fans also called Sarfaraz Ahmed ‘Mota’ (Fat) and said a few words in Urdu as well. The fans must have been extremely disappointed after the loss but it doesn’t seem correct to body-shame a player, especially the one who is leading the country at the biggest stage. However, even Shoaib Akhtar had earlier criticised the 32-year-old for not being fit after a crushing loss against the Windies.

Meanwhile, Pakistan are in a must-win position in the ongoing World Cup and are scheduled to face South Africa at the iconic Lord’s in London on Sunday.
