The Indian and Pakistani fans are getting themselves hyped up for the most important match of the ICC World Cup 2019, as India and Pakistan clash with one another on June 16, 2019, at the Old Trafford ground in Manchester. Both the arch-rivals will meet amidst high tension after the Pulwama incident in April, which had led to call for the Indian team to boycott the match against Pakistan.

The two rivals have met each other six times previously in the World Cups and India has managed to win in all the matches till now. Pakistan team, despite having a good record in the tournament, has never managed to triumph over their neighbors ever since their very first meeting in 1992 edition in Australia. Since then, they have met in QFs of 1996 tournament, 1999, 2003, 2011 semi-final and latest in 2015 edition.

The players are preparing for this monumental matchup in Manchester, while the fans are praying that rains keep away from the ground in Old Trafford this coming Sunday. Men in Blue’s last match against New Zealand was rained out and fans from both sides don’t want this happening on June 16. The Indian team has defeated South Africa and Australia in their first two matches and are looking in good form as well.

There are a lot of memes, jokes, and videos going around the internet since the matchday, which coincides with Father’s day. The Twitterverse is enjoying the rivalry to the max, thanks to some distasteful, yet hilarious advertisements made by TV channels in anticipation of the clash. Some also went on to say that, the only things that can save Pakistan from defeat is rain.

Rain affected four games of the ongoing tournament thus far – Pakistan vs Sri Lanka, Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka, West Indies vs South Africa and India vs New Zealand. There’s also rain forecast for the much-awaited India vs Pakistan clash at the Old Trafford in Manchester.
