India sealed a comfortable 89-run victory against arch-rivals Pakistan in Manchester.
Virat Kohli & Co. have been outstanding in the showpiece event so far with victories whenever they got onto the field. Off the four matches, the Men in Blue won three matches. However, one matches being washed out against New Zealand. As a captain, Kohli has his share of success in the last laughs the team had so far. Kohli himself has been in tremendous form with two half-centuries to his name including a 77 against Pakistan on Sunday at the Old Trafford.
India flagged off their supremacy by beating their arch-rivals Pakistan. This led to celebrations from all corners of the country as India registered their seventh win over Pakistan in World Cups. Also, Bollywood celebrated the win and one of the famous models of industry posed with the Indian captain in England.

India skipper was honoured by the renowned wax statue makers Madame Tussauds in London. The Kohli’s statue will be presented in the Lord’s ground till the end of the World Cup that is July 14. The statue is sculptured in the way that Kohli is sporting India jersey alongside the sporting greats Usain Bolt, Sir Mo Farah, and also Sachin Tendulkar. Recently, Bollywood actor Urvashi Rautela visited Madame Tussauds and showed her interest on already married Virat Kohli by wrapping up his statue in her arms.

The Men in Blue collectively put up a score of 336/5 in their first innings. Pakistan bowlers lacked a bit of skill and motivation to restrict Kohli & Co. India batting attack has completely derailed the pointless pacemen of Pakistan. Pak quick Hassan Ali has also been in the headlines for conceding highest runs in the World Cup history. Getting into batting, Pakistan had a shaky start.
The India bowlers didn’t show any sympathy towards the Men in Green batters. They wreaked havoc to dismiss the top order. But, Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman were successful in stitching a good partnership but couldn’t keep Pakistan on winning ways. After Azam fell flat for Vijay Shankar’s inswinger, there was no player to give good stand and eventually, they have seen a tremendous collapse of the batting order.
Now Pakistan will face Afghanistan, England, West Indies and Bangladesh in the rest of the league matches. For Sarfaraz & Co. there are very slim chances to proceed further. They have to win all 4 matches to make the semifinals and meet the big 3. On the other hand, with three wins in 4 matches, India is widely regarded to making the last 4. India stands 3rd on the points table behind Australia and New Zealand.
