Quinton de Kock:
His team might have flunked badly and underperformed to the pre-tournament expectation but Quinton de Kock performed his role of an opener quite brilliantly. Quinton has a special liking for Indian conditions and thrives here very well. He began his campaign with a 24-ball 52 run blitz against England on a batting paradise in a high scoring game. He continued his good run and added two more 30 plus knocks to his tally and ended as South Africa’s highest run-getter with 153 runs from four matches at an average of 38.25, striking at a rate of around 143.
