The eagerly-awaited player auction of the inaugural season of the Women’s Premier League is around the corner. The WPL 2023 auction will take place on Monday, February 13 in Mumbai. The excitement of fans is over the roof as T20 stars from around the globe will feature at the marquee event.

The WPL 2023 auction will feature 409 players, of which 246 are Indians and 163 are foreign players (including eight from Associate nations). However, with a squad limit of 18 players, only a maximum of 90 cricketers can earn WPL contracts, of which 30 could be overseas. 

INR 50 lakh is the maximum reserve price at the forthcoming auction and a total of 24 players have put themselves in the top bracket, of which 13 are overseas cricketers. Some of the renowned names on the list include Harmanpreet Kaur, Deepti Sharma, Smriti Mandhana, Ashleigh Gardner, Sophie Ecclestone, and Sophie Devine.
