WWC 2017, Match 14: India v Sri Lanka – Statistical Highlights
Here we look at all the stats and records created during the game.
India cruised to their 4th consecutive win in the Women’s World Cup defeating Sri Lanka by 16 runs, who have now lost four in a trot in this tournament. After electing to bat, Deepti Sharma and Mithali Raj’s century stand for the 3rd wicket rescued India as they lost a couple of early wickets. Deepti top scored with 78 while Mithali continued her blistering form against the Lankans by scoring 54 as India crawled to 232/8 despite wickets tumbling towards the end. Sri Lanka never looked threatening despite the 16-run margin which suggests it as a close game as the Lankan side didn’t come close to the required rate at any point in their chase.
