As the world is undergoing a complete lockdown, current and former cricketers have been spending more time on social media than ever. On an auspicious day of Mothers’ day, former Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar posted a beautiful message for his mother on his official Twitter handle.

Sachin Tendulkar posted an adorable picture with his mother when he was just a baby and wrote in his tweet that she is irreplaceable and always amazing. He also thanked her for all she has done for him. Further, he wished her Mother’s day.

“You are AAI to me because besides everything else you are Always Amazing & Irreplaceable. Thank you for everything you have done for me. Happy #MothersDay Aai”, the caption of the post said. For people who might not know, ‘Aai’ means mother in the Marathi language.

The photo which the veteran cricketer posted seems like a really old one. In the black and white picture, Sachin’s mother, Rajni Tendulkar can be seen holding baby Sachin in her arms.

Sachin Tendulkar celebrated his birthday too with his mother

A few days back, on his 47th birthday, Sachin Tendulkar had shared another picture with his mother. In that post, the former batsman revealed that he started his special day by taking the blessing of his mother. He also said that his mother gifted him an idol of Ganapati.

This year, the Mumbaikar didn’t celebrate his birthday though. He accounted the current situation of COVID-19 as one major reason why he took this decision.

Sachin Tendulkar has been doing whatever he can for the society in these desperate times. He first contributed a large sum of money to the relief funds set up by the Indian government as well as the Maharashtra government. He donated INR 25 Lakhs to the PM-CARES Fund and then another INR 25 Lakhs to the Maharashtra CM’s relief fund.

In addition to all this, the legendary cricketer also took care of the ration of 5,000 people for a month during this global pandemic. He has also been spreading awareness about the Coronavirus and urged the citizens of the nation to be a part of the Mask Force.
