AB de Villiers, the former South African cricketer, has become a father to a baby girl on November 11, 2020. However, he revealed the same only a few hours ago. The Pretoria-born had a hectic outing in the last couple of months, playing for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the 2020 Indian Premier League (IPL). He had to spend around two months in the bio-secure bubble in the UAE.
The veteran would now be happy returning to parental duties. ABD and his wife Danielle already had two children before the addition of the third member to their family. The 36-year-old also revealed the name of their daughter- Yente de Villiers. Quite expectantly, the seasoned campaigner was over the moon after he became a father.
ABD uploaded a picture where he was posing with Danielle, who was holding the newborn in her arms. He captioned the picture and wrote, “On 11-11-2020, we welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world. Yente de Villiers, you are the perfect addition to our family and such a blessing. We are grateful beyond measure for YOU!”

AB de Villiers married Danielle in 2013
De Villiers and Danielle happened to have crossed paths away back in 2007 when the former was still finding his feet in the Proteas national team. After dating more than five years, the couple tied the knots on March 30, 2013.
“About a couple of months leading up to the IPL, I was obviously planning, got the ring and all that, and I decided to do it there. And once I got to the IPL, I got “security guards. But I told Danielle that I have to travel with security guards, so that’s why they got to go with us.
“And it ended up to be a great surprise and I got it all on camera,” De Villiers was quoted as saying on What the Duck Season 3.
Back in July 2015, De Villiers embraced fatherhood for the first time and in 2017, their second child was born.
