'You can say Ben Stokes as well' - Jofra Archer reveals his favourite Hindi word

The IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals’ all-rounder Ben Stokes and pacer Jofra Archer are in a sensational form in the ongoing 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020). While Archer is placed at the fourth position in the charts of most wickets taken by a bowler with 19 scalps in 13 games, Stokes is soaring with confidence after scoring a scintillating century followed by a quickfire half-century in RR’s last two games against Mumbai Indians and Kings XI Punjab respectively.

Recently, the two star performers were involved in an interesting rapid-fire round with each other where they answered a variety of questions ranging from their professional careers, IPL to their personal lives. It was a fun game with lots of exciting questions like Stokes asked Archer about his favourite Hindi word. However, the all-rounder himself answered it saying he isn’t sure if his international teammate can reveal that word here.

Ben Stokes asked Archer, “What is your favourite Hindi word?” before saying, “Not sure you can say that.”

This remark by Stokes left Archer in splits as be agreed with the all-rounder saying, “Yeah, No I can’t, I can’t.” Though, the seamer later revealed that ‘jaldi’ can be considered as his favourite Hindi word. Notably, In Hindi language, jaldi means quickly.

Archer seemed to be in a fun mood as he took a funny jibe saying that Ben Stokes is his favourite Hindi word too. To this, Stokes was quick in replying that his name has been conveniently turned into a Hindi word.

Archer told Ben Stokes, “You can say Ben Stokes as well”

To this Stokes replied, “My name has been turned into a Hindi word”

Here Archer made a reference towards the famous Hindi cuss word which was made famous by the Indian cricket team skipper Virat Kohli. As the word sounds similar to Ben Stokes, the cricket fans jokingly refer to the England all-rounder whenever someone uses that word in the match field.

The 2008-champion Rajasthan Royals are currently placed at fifth spot in the points tally of IPL 2020 with 12 points in 13 fixtures. The chances of them making it to the playoffs depend heavily on how the other teams like Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kings XI Punjab and Kolkata Knight Riders perform in their remaining fixtures.
