Cricketers are spending time in their houses while in quarantine and they are eagerly waiting to get back on the cricket field. But, they will have to wait until the conditions come under control. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli, who has become pro-active on social media platforms amid COVID-19 outbreak, tried to troll his teammate Cheteshwar Pujara. Later on, the former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen stole the show with a cheeky comment.

It is well known that Kohli is rated as one of the best fielders in international cricket. So, he expects every player in the team to give more than their best in the fielding. Meanwhile, there is Pujara, who is not an extremely renowned fielder but gives his best every time. He had earlier committed some mis-fields during the Test matches in the past as well. Also, he is not very quick in comparison to other young players in the current side.

Kevin Pietersen says it’s fake news in a reply to Pujara on Kohli’s post

So, Virat Kohli tried to troll his teammate over the same in his recent social media activity. He took to his official Instagram handle and shared a still in which he can be spotted taking a one-handed stunner in the slip to dismiss Aussie batsman Peter Handscomb during the Perth Test’s first day back in 2018. The 31-year-old also gave a captain to his post that read,”@cheteshwar_pujara I hope you will go for the ball pujji.”

As soon as, Pujara, India’s Test specialist, came across that post, he quickly responded stating that he will go for the catch with the both hands unlike his skipper who grabbed it with a one hand. Later on, out of the blue, Kevin Pietersen, the former England cricketer came out with a cheeky comment. He took to his Instagram handle and wrote, #FakeNews. You couldn’t catch a cold in winter!”

Coming onto the current situations, the cases of Coronavirus are increasing day by day. And, there are no signs of cricket returning back to normalcy any time soon. Earlier, tournaments like IPL, The Hundred got postponed. Now, the clouds of uncertainty are revolving around the T20 World Cup that is scheduled to begin from mid-October in Australia.
