The world has come to a standstill due to the outbreak of coronavirus. Over 2.7 lakh deaths have been recorded across the globe and the pandemic has taken a toll on human existence. In such trying times, most countries are under lockdown to tackle the situation. Along with human existence, the pandemic has also put the sporting scenario at a halt.

From Tokyo Olympics to IPL 2020, all major sporting events have been cancelled in the wake of the pandemic. Amid this stern atmosphere, sportspersons including cricketers have no other choice but to spend their quarantine time indoors with their family.

To spend idle time during their quarantine, many cricketers including India’s limited-overs deputy, Rohit Sharma, have resorted to Instagram live to provide their fans with some entertainment. The recent guest on Rohit Sharma’s Instagram live was Australian opener, David Warner. Both the explosive openers had a candid chat with each other.

Rohit (Mumbai Indians) and Warner (Sunrisers Hyderabad) were all set to lead their respective IPL franchises in the thirteenth edition of the league. However, due to the outbreak of COVID-19, the tournament has been postponed indefinitely and there’s still no certainty over its commencement.

Rohit and Warner also discussed the impact of COVID-19 on cricket

Both Warner and Rohit discussed cricket in COVID-19 pandemic and touched several topics from the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League. They even talked about the possibility of T20 World Cup 2020 according to its scheduled date.

During the Instagram live session, Rohit also poked fun at Warner for his hilarious TikTok videos that have made him become the talk of the town. To spend his quarantine period, the Aussie stalwart has been spending time with his wife and three daughters. And, Warner has not shied away from sharing hilarious TikTok videos during the quarantine period.

“You are doing quite well on TikTok,” Rohit hailed Warner for putting up a smile on everyone’s faces at a time when everyone is going through a tough time.
