'You have a home in Ranchi too' - Sakshi Dhoni gives heartwarming reply to Hardik Pandya on Instagram
Sakshi was moved by Pandya's Instagram and straightaway invited him to her residence in Ranchi.
India all-rounder Hardik Pandya is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines after recently undergoing back surgery. Pandya has been facing issues with his back since he suffered the injury for the first time in last year’s Asia Cup. He was troubled by it in this year’s World Cup and was given a much-needed rest after the conclusion of the tournament.
Consequently, he missed the tour of West Indies but made a comeback during the T20I series against South Africa at home. However, he missed the Test series and underwent a surgery on his back in England. He had traveled to London earlier this month with Team India physiotherapist Yogesh Parmar for the surgery.
Pandya is expected to stay out of cricketing action for a minimum of 12-16 weeks. He is likely to be declared match-fit before the thirteenth edition of IPL next year. Thus he will miss the next month’s home series against West Indies and is likely to miss the tour of New Zealand too which will take place early next year.
Hardik Pandya missing MS Dhoni and Ziva
Sitting far away from all the action, Hardik Pandya recently took to Instagram to post an old photo of himself enjoying with his senior teammate MS Dhoni and his daughter Ziva. Pandya has often been spotted hanging around with the father-daughter duo. Recently, the allrounder enjoyed a pool session with Ziva and Dhoni at the latter’s residence in Ranchi.
“Miss this little one. (and the big guy too),” wrote Pandya in his latest Instagram post.
This is when Sakshi Dhoni, wife of the former India skipper, came up with a heartwarming reply. Sakshi was moved by Pandya’s Instagram and straightaway invited him to her residence in Ranchi, writing, “Awwww. You know you have a home in Ranchi too, right?”
Meanwhile, Dhoni is currently spending his time in Ranchi. The veteran has not played a competitive game since the end of the World Cup in July. He recently started training with Jharkhand’s U23 team but there is still no clarity over his comeback date. Chief selector MSK Prasad has made it clear that the selectors are moving on from Dhoni and it would be interesting to see how the latter’s career pans out now.
