'You never wear them' - Virat Kohli shuts down Yuzvendra Chahal after he trolls the RCB skipper's shorts
After registering a victory and a defeat in their first two IPL 2020 games, Kohli's men will now face defending champions Mumbai Indians on 28th September at Dubai International Stadium.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper Virat Kohli, apart from smoking boundaries for fun, is known for his exemplary fitness levels. Over the years, Kohli has achieved monumental growth when it comes to his on-field performances. And one of the main reasons behind his success is the discipline which he follows in his workouts and diet.
Kohli adheres to a strict fitness regime and diet to maintain his body fat. The current India captain never holds back from putting some extra effort into his workouts. Even during the national lockdown, the 31-year-old had shared multiple clips of his home workout drills.
Continuing his trend of sharing exercise videos, Kohli, from the UAE, recently shared a clip with the caption– “Putting in some daily work to prepare for this heat. Btw pls tag and ask [Chris Morris] why he’s making those sounds in the background.”
Kevin Pietersen also trolled Virat Kohli’s shorts in the video
But instead of remarks on Kohli’s fitness, the comment section was all about the RCB skipper’s shorts. Yuzvendra Chahal, who never shies away from posting his remarks on social media, hogged the limelight by dropping a hilarious comment on the video. Trolling the length of Kohli’s shorts, Chahal wrote– “Why are you wearing my shorts bhaiya.”
But it was Kohli who had the last laugh. The skipper also had a befitting reply under his sleeve as he responded by writing– “Because you never wear them.” Chahal was not the only one who trolled Kohli’s shorts. Former England international Kevin Pietersen also wrote– “I’m more worried about the shorts you’re wearing?”
Virat Kohli and his men hoping to lift their maiden IPL title this year
Virat Kohli and his men are vying for their maiden IPL trophy this season. They had an impressive start to their journey as they defeated David Warner-led Sunrisers Hyderabad in their opening fixture. However, RCB’s winning momentum was dented in their subsequent game itself.
RCB suffered a thumping 97-run defeat against Kings XI Punjab on Thursday. KXIP skipper KL Rahul, producing one of the best IPL knocks, smashed 132* off 69 balls and demolished RCB’s bowling force. In response to Rahul’s batting show, the Bangalore side had nothing to produce. It eventually turned out to be a lopsided encounter where RCB managed to post a meagre 109-run total.
