Rishabh Pant absolutely loves television shows especially cartoons and it became pretty clear thanks to his actions in the Brisbane Test against Australia earlier this month. During the Test match, the wicketkeeper-batsman was heard singing the Hindi version of ‘Spiderman’ theme song. The clip of the incident went viral in no time as it left the fans in splits.
And on Sunday, he revealed his love for cartoon once again with a post on Instagram. In his latest post, the India star showed his love for another famous cartoon character — ‘Tom’ from the cartoon show ‘Tom and Jerry’. Pant posted a picture of himself in which he can be seen wearing a t-shirt that had Tom’s face printed on it.
Along with posting the picture, he also asked his followers about the show as he captioned the image: “How many of you have watched this cartoon? #17”.

And Pant must have regretted posting the photo soon. Minutes after he posted the photo, his teammate Yuzvendra Chahal and Afghanistan star Rashid Khan hilariously trolled him. Chahal, who loves to pull the legs of other cricketers on social media, took a hilarious dig at the wicketkeeper-batsman as he wrote: “You or Tom bro?”
Rashid echoed the same sentiments as he too had some fun at the expense of Pant, writing: “I watch many time both you and Tom.”
Rishabh Pant shines in Australia:
Things are going pretty well for Rishabh Pant in recent times. After a tough 2020 where he lost his place in the playing eleven of Team India across formats, Pant has revived his Test career with a stunning display in the just-concluded Test series against Australia. He was on the bench for the first Test before being recalled in the playing eleven in the second.
Pant grabbed the opportunity with both the hands as he helped India win the series. After knocks of 29 and 36, he played a stunning knock of 97 in the third Test. In the fourth Test, he scored an unbeaten 89 to help India chase down 328 at the Gabba. Pant was adjudged player of the match for his match-winning knock.
