A tall, well-built athlete, this Bangladeshi seamer became famous even before anyone saw him in the team jersey. People across the globe saw in a clip over YouTube, a young under-19 fast bowler from Bangladesh ripping the bowl past an England batsman and forcing him leave the ball untouched – and that was enough food for curious thoughts. He played his debut ODI match against India and scalped down 5 wickets – enough to understand the talent of this young gun. Then he showed some clinical bowling performances in the 2015 world cup. If Bangladesh could even think of reaching the semi-finals, this young lad had immense contribution to the spree and he ended the tournament with 19 wickets in 12 matches at an economy of 5.64.
