The swashbuckling Indian duo of Yuvraj Singh and Suresh Raina are all set to light up the DY Patil tournament this season. The local T20 tournament staged in Mumbai every year will have two international greats this year. While Raina will be coming back after an injury, Yuvraj will try to earn a spot in the Indian team with an impressive show.

The DY Patil tournament is held at the DY Patil Sports Academy in Nerul, Mumbai every year. The tournament is an 11-day affair with the first match to be played on January 4. The finals will be played on 15th of January, 2017. A total of 31 matches will be played between the 16 participating teams.

As per reports in the Times of India, the details of the tournament and the participation of Yuvraj Singh and Suresh Raina was released in a media release by the organisers. The tournament has a prize money of about 15 lakhs. The participation of both the players is almost certain unless either of them gets picked up for the Indian squad for the England ODI series. The ODI series against England kicks off with the first ODI on January 15 at Pune.

Coming back to the DY Patil tournament, the 16 participating teams this year are: Reliance One, Tata Sports Club, Canara Bank, BPCL, CAG, Air India, Indian Oil, DY Patil A, DY Patil B, State Bank of Travancore, ONGC, Mumbai Customs, RBI, Western Railways and Jain Irrigation.
