The inaugural edition of the Road Safety World Series T20 concluded with the Indian Legends, under the leadership of Sachin Tendulkar, lifting the cup and scripting history at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur. The Sri Lanka Legends and India Legends produced a competitive and entertaining game in the final but in the end, the latter managed to outplay the former by 14 runs.

One of the highlights of the final was India’s swashbuckling all-rounder Yuvraj Singh living up to his reputation and providing India a fierce finish to help them put a comprehensive total on the scoreboard. Yuvraj came to bat in the fifth over when India were reeling at a score of 35 for 2.

Batting at number 4, the all-rounder launched an assault on the opposition bowlers as he amassed a whopping 60 runs in just 41 deliveries including four boundaries and four maximums at a strike-rate of 146.32. Seeing the match-defining knock by Yuvraj, the cricket enthusiasts were remembered the times when Yuvraj used to perform just the same way for India. Notably, he was the main man behind India winning the 2011 World Cup and 2007 T20 World Cup.

The 39-year-old was widely lauded for his brilliant innings during the final of the inaugural edition of the Road Safety World Series. The batsman also received a special welcome after reaching the hotel as he was given a guard of honor by the hotel staff. In the video, he is seen grooving to the beats of the theme song from the epic movie ‘Baahubali’ while walking through the guard of honor. However, Yuvraj can also be seen limping as he had injured his right leg during the match.
