Yuvraj Singh wins hearts with his message on World Cancer Day
Yuvraj Singh shared an emotional message with all his fans.
Yuvraj Singh is a fighter who has fought his way to the top. There was a time in his life when he had to battle against something that requires immense will and courage to defeat. Yuvraj suffered cancer back in 2011 and is still an active cricketer. He is known for his undefeatable spirit and is a huge inspiration for not just the cricketers but also those who are struggling against this deadly disease.
It is seven years since the World Cup winner was diagnosed with cancer. Yuvraj had a tumour in his lungs and he figured that after being the pioneer in the team’s 2011 World Cup win; he was the Player of the Tournament. The veteran left-hander took two years to recover and successfully defeated this opponent that threatened his life.
Following his battle, Yuvraj started a foundation that supports cancer patients. ‘YouWeCan’ is his institution which has helped a lot of cancer patients over the years. One of the best limited-overs batter, of late has been out of favour from the national selectors.
Yuvi has 304 ODIs to his name his belt, piled on 8701 runs and own India several matches. The veteran has also played 58 T20Is for India. For all he has contributed to Indian cricket, the man has a tremendous following and makes good use of it to share social messages and support causes that need attention. On the World Cancer Day, Yuvraj had a message for all the fighters.

Yuvraj Singh shared an emotional message with all his fans. He wrote that it is never too late to fight back, it is also nevermore too late to start from scratch. He also mentioned that around 9 million people die from cancer due to low income and encouraged people to fight along as YouWeCan.
He wrote, “It’s never too late, it’s never too bad, and you’re never too old or sick to start from scratch once again. Almost 9 million people from the low-income households die from cancer every year lets join this battle against cancer and beat it together coz @YOUWECAN #WorldCancerDay.”
