The sporting scenario has come to a standstill due to the outbreak of COVID-19 and all cricketers are currently being left with no choice but to spend their idle time on social media. The coronavirus outbreak has compelled the world to be under lockdown as the death toll has crossed more than 2.8 lakh over the world.
In such stern situation, many cricketers have notched up their social media activity. Many cricketers have either resorted to Instagram live sessions or Twitter Q&A sessions to provide entertainment to their fans at a time when the much-awaited IPL 2020 has also been cancelled. Amongst the active lot of cricketers, one player who has notched up his social media activity by leaps and bounds is India international Yuzvendra Chahal.
Be it hilarious TikTok videos or Twitter interaction– Chahal has left no stones unturned in hogging the limelight on social media. The leg-spinner has so far been a part of many Instagram live sessions as well as Twitter interactions during the lockdown. Recently, he had grabbed the limelight due to his comment on Anushka Sharma‘s Instagram video featuring her husband Kohli.
In the cheeky video, Anushka made sure that the current Indian skipper doesn’t miss the cricket field. She said, “Kohli, Aye Kohli, Kohli, Chauka maar na, Chauka, kya kar raha hai, Ae Kohli chauka maar (Kohli give us a four).”
As the response to the video started pouring in, Yuzvendra wrote, “Next time bhabhi please say Chahal ok opening Kara na chahal ko I wish aapki sun le”.
Yuzvendra Chahal has been quite active on social these days
As observed in the past few days, Yuzvendra Chahal has the habit of crashing many Instagram live videos too. He recently crashed Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif’s Instagram live too and dropped a comment during the session.
As Katrina spoke about fitness during the lockdown in the live session, Yuzvendra wrote, “Hi Katrina mam.” This is not the first time Chahal has acknowledged that he was a Katrina fan. Back in 2017, he had said in an interview, “I like Katrina a lot, her smile appeals the most to me.” The leg-spinner had also hailed Katrina as her ‘Bollywood crush’.
Chahal was set to play for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the thirteenth edition of IPL. However, due to the outbreak of coronavirus, the tournament has been postponed indefinitely and it seems like Chahal is making the most of his quarantine time. He has already entertained the fans with many hilarious TikTok videos in which he has involved his family too.
