Yuzvendra Chahal has a hilarious reply to ICC’s post of Test rankings
The apex cricket board posted the ICC Test rankings for batsmen.
Yuzvendra Chahal is a humorous figure in the Indian cricket team. The leg-spinner is a happy-go-lucky character and always churns out rib-tickling jokes from time to time. Due to his positive character, he also shares a great camaraderie with Indian vice-captain Rohit Sharma and his wife Ritika Sajdeh. Recently, Chahal put forth his funny side, this time regarding the ICC.
The apex cricket board posted the ICC Test rankings for batsmen. And Chahal was funnily unhappy. The ICC shared a list of the top 10 batsmen, which included Virat Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane as the three Indians. Kohli is the leader of the pack with 928 rating points.
Of late Virat has been in a tussle with Steve Smith, who is presently second on the list with 911 points. In the meantime, Chahal put a hilarious comment on the post. He wrote, “@icc why u only showed 10 players list because of my name on 11th no.”

Chahal not the worst with the bat
Chahal has been one of India’s key performers in ODI and T20I cricket. The tweaker has 137 wickets in 86 matches with three five-wicket hauls and four four-wicket hauls. When it comes to batting, the Haryana cricketer isn’t the worst doing the rounds by any stretch of the imagination. He doesn’t have a fifty and a century to his name, but has played some crucial knocks lower down the order.
He has a top score of 42 in first-class cricket, having hit 28 fours and a couple of sixes. In List A cricket, Chahal has smacked 24 fours and a solitary six. Last year against New Zealand at the Seddon Park in Hamilton, the pocket-size dynamite churned out his highest ODI score of an unbeaten 18.
In fact, in that innings, he was India’s highest individual run-scorer. Trent Boult’s five-wicket haul shot the Men in Blue out for a paltry 92 in 30.5 overs. Chahal came in and added 35 for the ninth wicket with fellow spinner Kuldeep Yadav. In his knock, Chahal hit three fours off 37 balls.
