Yuzvendra Chahal last played in the tour of New Zealand where he was a vital cog of Team India’s setup. Though the Men in Blue clean swept the T20I series 5-0, they lost the ODIs 0-3 despite Chahal’s best efforts. He was then set to take part in the Indian Premier League (IPL), representing the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), led by Virat Kohli, who’s also the national skipper.

However, the IPL currently stands postponed and there’s no news on when it might return. The coronavirus pandemic has made sure that the cricketers, including Chahal, spend their time at their residence as a part of a precautionary measure set by the government. During this break, Chahal has been spending some quality time with his family and also making some videos on Tik-Tok.

In the last few weeks, he has been able to stay connected to the fans through his clips on the short video platform. He has also had to face a lot of slack for the videos he has shared. Even Rohit Sharma, under whom he made his IPL debut in 2013, didn’t forget to severely troll him.

In the meantime, the BCCI shared a picture of a hand, which had a tattoo in it. They also asked the users to guess, whose hand it is. “Guess who? ???????? Answers on our Insta story later ???? #TeamIndia.” Most of the users got it right and named Chahal.

However, one of the users came up with a rather offensive comment, maybe taking a sly dig at Chahal. “Kis garib ka haat hai ye, (which poor man’s hand is this)” the user wrote.

Chahal was not going to let the fan off the hook. Replying to him, the experienced leg-spinner wrote, “uss garib ka jo ground pe apne desh ke liye jaan bhi de sakta hai. (that poor man, who can give his life on the cricket field for his country,”
