Yuzvendra Chahal is friends with everyone, which is a rare quality: Virat Kohli

14th April 2021 is a very special day for Yuzvendra Chahal. For, the spinner walked out in RCB colors in an IPL match for the 100th time on this day against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) side. Chahal has been a part of IPL since 2013 and has accumulated glittering numbers in IPL cricket. The leg spinner has scalped 121 wickets in his IPL career and has picked them at a strike rate of just 17.80.

And, ahead of the match between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Virat Kohli showered praise on the RCB spinner. Kohli stated that it would be a proud moment for Chahal to step onto the field on this special day.

Adding that Chahal has been the standout bowler for the RCB side, Kohli even stated that the leg spinner is a friendly character in the team. The RCB skipper further revealed that Chahal is friendly with everybody.

“It is a very proud moment for him. Barring one game, he has played all his career for RCB. He has been a standout bowler for us over the years. Someone who has made many game-changing contributions. He’s a lovely character to have around the team. He is friends with everyone, which is a rare quality,” said Kohli in a video posted by RCB on their official Twitter handle.

Yuzvendra Chahal also dwelled on his milestone match. Stating that he never thought that he will feature in 100 IPL matches for the RCB side, Chahal revealed that it has been a very emotional journey for him thus far.

“I started in 2014, and I came from Mumbai Indians. That time I never thought I’ll play 100 matches for RCB. So, yeah, it’s a very emotional journey. This is my 100th match for RCB. I’ll try my best. It’s a very emotional thing for me, and I never thought I’d play 100 matches for one franchise,” concluded Chahal.

Chahal has also been a part of the Mumbai Indians franchise and has played a solitary match for the side.
