Yuzvendra Chahal wants to play for RCB in IPL throughout his life
He also expressed his delight for being the go-to bowler of his captain.
Despite the Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) poor run in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Yuzvendra Chahal has shone with his superb bowling. He is currently third in the race for the purple cap with 14 wickets to his name in just 10 matches and is one of the most economical bowlers of the season. Chahal made it to the Indian team with some brilliant show in the IPL.
Ever since his international debut, the leg-spinner has been the vital cog of the Indian team and deserves all the accolades coming his way. His partnership with Kuldeep Yadav is superb and the duo is set to play a huge role for India in the upcoming World Cup in England.
As far as playing for RCB is concerned, Yuzvendra Chahal feels that is an honour for him and adds how privileged it is to be the go-to bowler of the captain Virat Kohli. He also went on to say that RCB is like a family for him and loves coming to Bengaluru to play for the franchise.
It’s like a family to me
“It’s like a family to me, when I came here in 2014 I never thought that I’ll play for this franchise. I really enjoy when I come to Bengaluru and I only want to play for RCB in the IPL throughout my life,” Chahal was quoted as saying by India Today.
The 28-year-old also credited the crowd which comes out in numbers to support RCB at the Chinnaswamy stadium. However, he admits that it is tough to concentrate when it is so loud and the spectators are cheering. “When you play at Chinnaswamy Stadium, it is very loud and the crowd is always supporting you. But whenever I bowl I just try to focus on my game and my situation like where to bowl, so I am used to it now and it is nothing new for me,” he added.
