ZIM vs IND: Shikhar Dhawan has epic response to fan holding ‘Can I have your shirt?’ poster in final ODI

The 36-year-old Indian opener is very much known for entertaining the fans. Be it on social media or on the field, Dhawan likes to own the moment, and against Zimbabwe, the fans once again witnessed one such incident.

In the first innings, while Shikhar Dhawan was sitting in the dressing room, the camera spotted a person with a placard, ‘Shikhar, can I have your shirt?” Dhawan hilariously pretended to remove his t-shirt while KL Rahul and Ruturaj Gaikwad laughed at it. Alan Wilkins, in the commentary, added, “Go along, Shikhar. Make a donation.”

Netizens enjoyed the show but were also disappointed with Shikhar’s innings in the 3rd ODI against Zimbabwe. The Southpaw scored 40 off 68 deliveries, and thus his strike rate remains to be a point of discussion. A fan called him out on Twitter for his slow innings and called it a ‘shameful, disgraceful statpad-attempt innings’ while another one said of is 2G in the world of 5G. There, however, are people who defended Shikhar for his consistency with the bat.

He has got the runs, and there never was any doubt about that but with Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli expected to make their return, Dhawan needs to get better before the ODI World Cup.

The jersey saga began with Shikhar Dhawan wearing Shardul Thakur’s jersey in the middle

With number 54 on his back, fans spotted something different with Shikhar Dhawan’s jersey when he came out to bat. It took no time for everyone to realize that the veteran batter was wearing Shardul Thakur’s jersey with his name taped up. 

The reason for him wearing Shardul’s t-shirt is still unknown. However, this is not the first time it happened to an Indian cricketer. From former captain Sourav Ganguly to Deepak Hooda, everyone had gone through similar circumstances in the past where Dhawan became the latest member of the club.
