The celebrations that cricketers indulge in sometimes hogs the limelight. After picking up a wicket or after scoring a century, cricketers have different ways of expressing their joy to the world.

South African cricketer Tabraiz Shamsi is known for his famous shoe celebration. After he picks up a wicket, Shamsi removes his shoe, takes it near his ear, and uses it as a telephone. And, another cricketer aped Shamsi’s celebration on 23rd April 2021.

During the 2nd T20I between Pakistan and Zimbabwe, Luke Jongwe also indulged in the famous shoe celebration. The Zimbabwe bowler scalped the wicket of Babar Azam with a clever change of pace. The Pakistan batting lynchpin misread the delivery from Jongwe, and popped up a catch to cover. After Azam’s dismissal, Jongwe brought up the shoe celebration.

And, Tabraiz Shamsi reacted to it. Stating that the celebration was cool, Shamsi stated that it is always good for a player to have some fun on the field.

Luke Jongwe produced a riveting performance with the ball in hand to help Zimbabwe stun Pakistan in the 2nd T20I and level the three-match series 1-1. The right-arm pacer scalped 4 wickets in the 3.5 overs that he bowled, and helped Zimbabwe win the match by 19 runs.

In the 2nd T20I, the Zimbabwe side batted first and posted a total of 118/9 on the board. The saving grace for the Zimbabwe outfit was Tinashe Kamunukhamwe, who scored a patient 34 off 40 deliveries. After Kamunukhanwe, the next highest run-scorer was Regis Chakabva, who scored 18.

In reply, the Pakistan batting lineup appeared clueless. Apart from Babar Azam and Danish Aziz, who scored 41 and 22 respectively, no other Pakistan batsman could even cross the 15-run mark. With this victory, Zimbabwe has leveled the three-match T20I series 1-1. The series decider will be played on 25th April 2021 at Harare.
