Being dressed up decently attracts attention from people in our surroundings. An attractive attire also sends positive vibes to people for which the person grabs a significant amount of attention. However, the apparels vary from profession to profession. The cameraman in cricket is a crucial member of broadcasting who makes the game available to the audience across the globe.
However, they are generally dressed casually, mostly in jeans or shorts as their job doesn’t require formal attire. However, Zotani Oscar, a cameraman from South Africa dons formal wears during his work behind the camera. During the game between South Africa and Australia, he was dressed in a suit, which attracted quite a few eyeballs.
2007- The beginning of the story for Oscar
However, this isn’t the first instance when he used formal outfits. During the game between South Africa and India, he was dressed in a three-piece suit and tie. He covered every minor aspect of the game which is his primary role behind the camera. However, the reason for him to turn up in a suited attire isn’t related to the work he does.
The cameraman previously revealed that the story rewinds back to 2007 during New Zealand’s tour of the Rainbow nation when one of the cameramen got sick. Meanwhile, Oscar was working in the studio and the technical director asked Oscar to replace the sick cameraman. Thereafter, the director asked him to turn up in formal wear on every occasion.
Oscar also mentioned that he is more comfortable in the garments as he doesn’t prefer to expose his skin to the sun, unlike the crowds present at the ground. Meanwhile, he is the same person who exposed Cameron Bancroft’s horrendous crime of ball-tampering. There was a clear video footage which showed the Aussie inserting a sharp object inside his underpants.
