While announcing the winner he called upon Shubman Gill to do the honours and present the winning medal to Iyer. Besides, the other contenders for the award included Harshit Rana for saving more than 10 runs, which showed his commitment despite being a fast bowler. being a fast bowler. Furthermore, Gill was also a contender who marked his second game running around and taking the important catches while being stationed in the mid-off region.
