LSG XI against RR | Predicted Lucknow Super Giants playing 11 against Rajasthan Royals for 44th Match of IPL 2024

KL Rahul and his Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) team played one of the best games of IPL 2024 to win against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) Marcus Stoinis turned into the saviour with the bat as he scored a memorable ton to silence the crowd at the Chepauk Stadium.

The next game for LSG is against table-toppers Rajasthan Royals who have been in tremendous form so far. The earlier game this season saw the Royals beat the Giants by 20 runs at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.

On current form both the sides are equal in terms of skill as they have plenty of match winners. LSG will want to win the game to create more gap between themselves and Sunrisers Hyderabad in the points table after SRH’s loss to RCB.

Here is the likely Lucknow Super Giants XI for their game versus RR in IPL 2024:

Openers – KL Rahul and Quinton De Kock

The opening pair of KL Rahul and Quinton De Kock have been giving their team fabulous starts. KL Rahul in particular has been impressive with the bat this season and even his strike rate has seen an upward surge.

Quinton De Kock has been one of the most dangerous batters in the IPL and his record is very good proof. The left-handed batter has for years been destructive with the bat at the top of the order and can take the attack to the bowlers in the first six overs of the game.

Middle-order – Nicholas Pooran and Ayush Badoni

Lucknow Super Giants are lucky to have Nicholas Pooran in their team as he is one of the most feared batters in the shortest format. The left-handed batter has become a vital cog in the wheel for LSG and has delivered the goods on most occasions.

Ayush Badoni may not have had many chances to showcase his batting skills this year, but the young batter is very talented. His half-century earlier this season has shown why he is highly spoken about in the Indian cricket circle.

All-rounders – Marcus Stoinis, Deepak Hooda and Krunal Pandya

It was Marcus Stoinis’ knock of 124 that played a huge role in the near-impossible chase versus Chennai Super Kings. The 34-year-old is one of the most destructive batters in the middle-order in the T20 format.

Krunal Pandya and Deepak Hooda too have played their roles to perfection and gone about their task diligently. KL Rahul will want the two stars to continue their good work and come up with useful contributions for the side.

Bowlers – Matt Henry, Ravi Bishnoi, Yash Thakur, and Mohsin Khan

The introduction of Matt Henry into the IPL has been nothing short of amazing. The Kiwi seamer has been able to strike crucial blows with the ball and has also been economical with the ball. Ravi Bishnoi on the other hand will want to show more consistency with the ball as far as economy and wicket-taking is concerned.

LSG team management will have their eyes on Mohsin Khan and Yash Thakur, the two young bowlers who have been leaking runs. The duo were taken for runs in the last game versus CSK and they will hope for a quick turnaround in their fortunes.
