The Oval, currently known for sponsorship reasons as the Kia Oval, is an international cricket ground at Kennington, in the London Borough of Lambeth, South London. It is always referred to as ‘The Oval’, and not ‘the Oval’. It was the first ground in England to host international Test cricket in September 1880; a match which England won by 5 wickets against Australia. The final Test match of the English season is traditionally played here.

98 Test matches have been played at this ground. The total number of runs scored here is 94,879. The home side has won 39, while a touring side has won 21 matches. The ground has witnessed 38 draws and a highest individual score of 364 by Sir Len Hutton in 1938.
