Mehidy Hasan is a right-arm-off-break bowler and is also a good batter. He holds many individual records as a Bangladesh player and is a vital part of the team. He made his Test debut in 2016 when he was just 18 years old.

Mehidy, in his first match itself, created a record by picking a fifer and became the youngest and seventh Bangladeshi to take a fifer on debut. He also won the man-of-the-series award and became the first countryman to bag this honor in a debut series.

In 2018, this youngster took the best match figures of 12-117 and it became the best record from a Bangladesh player. On playing 31 Tests he has 119 wickets to his name with eight fifers and two ten-wicket hauls. Even though being the best performer for the side on many occasions, he is not lauded like the other cricketers.
