The swashbuckling boom-boom batsman from Pakistan is the most well-known face of Pakistan cricket in the modern era. With an image of an absolute tormentor, Afridi is often a favorite pick for most of the teams in all major leagues. He played for Deccan Chargers in the first edition of the IPL. He was signed by Melbourne Renegades and South Australia Redbacks in the Big Bash League. Back home, he plays for Karachi. Afridi has the distinction of taking Pakistan to a T20 World Cup win in 2009.
