Some say that height does contribute to an important factor but there have been a number of players who have beaten all the odds and stood to be into the international stages of cricket despite of their lagging heights. We have seen players like Tatenda Taibu, Parthiv Patel claiming decent importance in the international sphere. Even Sachin Tendulkar and Sunil Gavaskar, referred to as ‘Little Master’ have been prolific in their cricket careers ignoring their short heights. At 23 years Mominul Haque has represented Bangladesh in 27 Tests and 26 ODIs has 2154 and 543 runs respectively. He comes from the coastal town of Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh. Mominul earned himself a place in the squad after a couple of good, consistent and performance filled seasons in First Class cricket, and was in as a replacement for Shakib Al Hasan, who was out with an injury. He made his debut to international cricket in the year 1924 and played a total of 12 tests.
