'130 MB data wasted' - Twitter not happy with Gujarat Titans' new logo

Gujarat Titans have brought to light their new logo ahead of the IPL 2022 edition and they were the first Indian sports team to have made their launch in the metaverse. The digital avatars of Hardik Pandya, Shubman Gill and Ashish Nehra were all seen speaking to each other in the video launch of the Gujarat Titans logo as they concluded with the unveiling of the logo.

In their discussion, they also revealed the meaning of the logo launched on the metaverse. The trio also explained the moto of the team.

“Our DNA is about reaching the top and always moving upwards. There is Gujarat’s kite which is not just our passion but it larger than life. Our moto is to share energy and unlimited power. We stop at nothing,” they said.

Gujarat Titans made some interesting picks in auction

Meanwhile, Gujarat Titans went on to make some surprising picks in the IPL 2022 mega auction in Bengaluru and they have formed a 23-member squad already.

They grabbed the Indian pacer Mohammed Shami from the marquee set alongside picking up all-rounder Rahul Tewatia for a lot of money as well. Jason Roy, Matthew Wade and David Miller all turned out to be valuable buys for the franchise towards the end while the Indian contingent still remains a little bit experienced.

Gujarat was desperate for a wicket-keeper towards the end of the auction and they roped in experienced campaigner Wriddhiman Saha who has an IPL century in playoffs already. The youngsters like R Sai Kishore, Abhinav Sadarangani will have a big role to play in the side as they were fetched for big money in the auction.

Lockie Ferguson turned out to be one of their costliest buys as the New Zealand pacer can definitely crank up good speeds and they have invested in pacers like Varun Aaron and Pradeep Sangwan as well. However, they might find a lot of holes in the side in a long tournament this time.

Gujarat have also opted to name Hardik Pandya as the skipper of their franchise and this will be his first assignment as a captain in IPL while they have a match-winner in Rashid Khan as well.
