26 white-ball Pakistan players to participate in a training camp ahead of T20 World Cup

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) stated that a preseason training camp will be held for the white-ball players of the Pakistan Men’s side, and the camp will commence on 22nd August 2021.

Former Pakistan cricketer, and Head of International Player Development, Saqlain Mushtaq, along with the NHPC coaching staff will supervise the proceedings.

A total of 26 players will be a part of the camp, and all the players will assemble on 21st August 2021. All the standard Covid-19 SOPs will be in place for the camp.

Pakistan cricketers currently in the West Indies will join camp after some rest

The Pakistan white-ball players, who are currently in the West Indies, will join the camp after a brief period of rest. The main focus of the camp will be on improving the fitness of the players and special emphasis will be given to preparing the players ahead of the white-ball season ahead.

The schedule for the first week of the training camp is out. Between August 22nd and August 27th, the players will play three scenario-based 50 over practice matches, and on other days, the focus will be on fitness and conditioning exercises, and skill-based practice sessions as well.

There will also be several additional players as well, who will also be a part of the camp, and will assist the Pakistan white-ball players in practice matches and also in the nets as well.
