3 Players Chennai Super Kings backed but Mumbai Indians didn't in IPL
There have been multiple occasions when players from one side have gone to the other through the IPL auction.
2. Dwayne Bravo
For the first three seasons, Dwayne Bravo turned out to play for Mumbai Indians (MI). The West Indian all-rounder played 30 games across three seasons and picked up just 26 wickets and with the bat, he averaged of 21.76 and had a strike-rate of 117.18. While the promise was there but MI decided to let go of him.
It was the switch to Chennai Super Kings (CSK) that brought out the best of Bravo. The seam-bowling all-rounder has played as many as 89 games for CSK and has a strike-rate of 136.11 while averaging 26.60. He has played some vital knocks lower down the order. Moreover, it’s with the ball that he’s been a lot more effective and precious to CSK.
Bravo has found himself bowling at the death more often than not. Yet, he has found a way to succeed. The West Indian has a very good yorker along with a deceptive slower ball which he uses very well. Hence, it was CSK where he found more success because of the backing that he got.
