The maidans of Mumbai has always produced good cricketing talents. One such gifted individual is Suryakumar Yadav who has been a consistent performer in the domestic arena since his Ranji Trophy debut in 2011. He is a modern-day cricketer with a touch of elegance. Irrespective of the format he has been a valuable asset for the Mumbai side.

The right-hander grabbed the eyeballs with his unorthodox shots in the initial years of his IPL career. Thereafter he was snapped up by the Mumbai franchise in the 2018 IPL auction. Since then he has been a revelation at top of the order. He is a versatile player and right now the Indian team needs a batsman who can fit in at any position in the playing XI.

Suryakumar is equally adept against pace and spin. On top of that, he is a cricketer who can play according to the situation and his presence in the national squad will be helpful in the upcoming T20 World Cup. He can easily anchor the innings and can still play the role of a  floater when the team is in search of quick runs. Yadav is also a good fielder which is an important aspect of slam-bang cricket.
