3 Rohit Sharma's records Babar Azam will not be able to break
Babar Azam is yet to cross the 200-run mark in any format.
2. Rohit Sharma’s 186 runs in an ODI inning with only fours and sixes
Babar Azam continues to break records set by legendary cricketers with each inning with his hunger for consistency across formats. He is a mile ahead of Rohit when it comes to consistency but the Indian star is always ahead of everyone when it comes to creating unbelievable records. And one of those records is the most fours in an ODI inning which came during his historic 264-run knock against Sri Lanka in 2014.
The 35-year-old batter smashed 33 fours and nine sixes during his monstrous inning to break and set a new world record. Sachin Tendulkar held that record with 25 fours during his 200-run knock against South Africa in 2010. Rohit set the standards so high by smashing nine more fours and no one has even come close to reaching the 30-four mark.
Babar is a big fan of keeping his shots off the air and scoring fours on a consistent basis. He smashed 14 fours during his career highest ODI inning of 158 runs in 2021. He is definitely going to cross the 20-four mark in the near future but will find it very tough to reach or cross the 30-four mark in ODI cricket.
