Andrew Tye is certainly a hot property in T20 cricket currently as his bowling has improved leaps and bounds. He mostly bowls at the death and foxes the batters with his slower balls and knuckle ball which he has developed. There was some serious bidding for the Australian and his stakes went as high up to Rs 7.2 Crore with Kings XI Punjab finally snapping him up. The pressure would be on him to deliver and justify the price tag attached to him in the upcoming season.

Tye played only 6 matches in the BBL and owned as many as 16 wickets with a five-wicket haul and four-wicket haul to his name. His average in this season was a staggering 12 and a strike rate of 8.8 is simply amazing. Perth Scorchers picked him in the XI whenever he was available and he never disappointed the faith shown in him. Tye will be featuring in the ongoing T20I tri-series now and would be confident of continuing the good work.
