2. 107 v Sri Lanka at Rawalpindi, 2000:
It is said that the best players often announce their arrival in grand style. The case was same with Younis. It was his debut match and the Pakistani side were trailing by two runs with half the side already back in the pavilion. Coming in at number 7, he displayed great character and composure as a 22-year-old young player. Younis out on 145 runs for the 9th wicket with Wasim Akram and brought up a century on debut and was the 7th player to achieve this feat. He was the last man to be dismissed, but he ensured that Pakistan had a lead of 219 runs. The match was, however, won by Sri Lanka. The innings marked his arrival on the big stage albeit.
