5 Best knocks of Younis Khan

3. 106 and 103* v Australia at Dubai, 2014:

We have talked about his debut and the way he launched himself. But the journey for Younis wasn’t a bed of roses. Often he was amidst controversies and in the most recent times, particularly in 2014, his place in the side was being questioned. While another veteran, Misbah-ul-Haq was still plundering runs, Younis could hardly manage any big runs. Amidst such circumstance, he stepped into bat in the first innings of the first Test with Pakistan struggling on 7/2 in under 4 overs. Younis batted with grit and courage and put up 108 runs with Azhar Ali for the third wicket and 83 runs for the fourth wicket with Misbah-Ul-Haq. In the process, he reached his 25th century and ended up with a score of 106 of 223 balls. In the second innings, he scored another century (103*) before Pakistan declared on 286/2. He became one of seven Pakistani batsmen to score centuries in each inning of a Test. Pakistan won the match by 221 runs kudos to the efforts of this batsman.
