The Windies all-rounder announced his retirement on October 25, 2018. Having played his last international match in 2016 and his last one-day international in 2014, Bravo retired from Test cricket in 2015. He became a household name in all of the T20 leagues in the world and is very well known for his aggressive batting in the death overs and the clever but deadly variations, curbing the flow of runs.

In IPL 2013, playing for Chennai Super Kings, he won the Purple Cap for bagging 32 wickets at an impressive average of just above 9. In the process, he also overtook Albie Morkel as the leading wicket-taker for Chennai Super Kings.

Bravo was one of the few cricketers who was in continuous dispute with their cricket board because of which they were deprived of an extended run in international cricket. His last international match was the final of the ICC World T20 in 2016 which was won by the Windies and Bravo being an integral part of the squad.
