Geoff Marsh played as an opening batter for Australia from the period of 1985 to 1992 and served as a coach and selector post his retirement. Primarily a right-handed batter, Geoff played 50 Tests and 117 ODIs in his international career and scored 13 centuries and 37 half centuries in the process.
Geoff also served as the Australian coach in the 1999 World Cup title-winning campaign and two of his sons, Mitchell Marsh and Shaun Marsh, made it to the Australian side as well. Shaun, the elder of the two, has played 38 Tests, 73 ODIs, and 15 T20Is for the nation from the period of 2008 to 2019. The 39-year-old has 13 international centuries to his name despite being in and out of the side.
Mitchell has become one of the vital cogs in the batting lineups for Australia in the last one year or so and has played 32 Tests, 66 ODIs, and 38 T20Is already. The all-rounder is just 30 years of age at the moment and still has a lot to serve for the national side.
